Where street culture meets refined design
ASTLVI started during the pandemic back when Twitter was still fun. After a couple of my tweets went viral, my friends kept telling me it was time to start my own line. I didn't buy into the idea at first, self doubt and all but nobody's ever died from trying.
It gave me the perfect opportunity as well to put this and that together and use my imagination to create sick pieces I actually care so much about.
ASTLVI is a Nigerian streetwear brand for everyone. By everyone I actually mean everyone. The youngins, the baddies, everybody. We make solid pieces and try as much as possible to express a feeling through every design.
1805 — the brand's insignia — is an angel number that means you should make conscious efforts to be successful, just do stuff that'll turn out great and it definitely will. Plus that was the year Napoleon achieved his greatest victory. So it means a lot to me.
We're just getting started. Inspired by everything and everyone around me. Virgil, Wiz, the culture around us — I'm always in my head thinking, scheming, fantasizing and just painting pictures. Watching shit you randomly pictured at 3am come alive and seeing people fuck with it? Yeah I love that.
In about 5–10 years we plan to be a household name, on the lips of everyone. When you're thinking of a solid go-to fashion brand you're thinking ASTLVI. Yes, that's the plan.
